Mission Statement
To enable young men, aged 17 to 21, to move from dependence, through a period of semi-independence at BSS, and onto accommodation appropriate to need. This is achieved through the provision of individualised care and aftercare programmes.
Ethos
BSS acknowledges the intrinsic value and inherent dignity of each person in our care. We recognise the right of each person to be treated as an autonomous and unique human being. We work in solidarity with young men in an atmosphere that encompasses real warmth and homeliness, quality care, choice, safety, consistency and respect. Through this atmosphere, a subtle process of empowerment can begin, leading to improved life chances for the individual.
