Policies
BSS has a Policy and Procedures Manual which is adapted from the ‘The Policy and Procedures for Children's Residential Units' , First Edition. This document was amended to facilitate BSS's specialised work with an older client range. It also encompasses a section on our work with aftercare clients.
The Policy and Procedures manual aims to:
- Identify and establish guidelines for best practice in BSS.
- Provide clear guidance to social care manager, social care workers and other people involved in the provision of services and the day-to-day management running operation of BSS.
- Designate responsibility and promote accountability within BSS.
- Support BSS in meeting the National Standards for Children's Residential Centres (2001) and fulfilling other legislative requirements.
It is available on request to any party with a bona fide interest in the work of BSS.
